Dr. Charmane Caldwell
PI and Project Director
Dr. Charmane Caldwell is the PI and EESI Project Director. She is responsible for the overall project operation. Dr. Caldwell also serves as the Director of Student Access for the FAMU-FSU College of Engineering, where she provides leadership in the areas of growth and quality of engineering students. This includes oversight of the ECI, Engineering LLC, and Title III programs
Dr. Reginald Perry
Co-PI
Dr. Reginald Perry, Professor of Electrical & Computer Engineering and former Associate Dean of Student Affairs and Curriculum at the FAMU-FSU College of Engineering will assist the educational researcher with data analysis and provides technical support to the project PI in project dissemination. Dr. Perry also serves as a faculty mentor.
Our Program Evaluators
Dr. Yvette E. Pearson
Educational Researcher
Dr. Yvette E. Pearson, the founder of the Pearson Evaluation and Education Research (PEER) Group, is the educational researcher on the project team. Dr. Pearson, along with the PI and Co-PI, and other project team members, will lead the dissemination of the knowledge generated from this project to the STEM education community through journal articles and conference papers, and presentations.
Dr. Melanie Wicinski
External Evaluator
Dr. Melanie Wicinski serves as the project’s external evaluator. Dr. Wicinski is currently the Director of University Assessment at FAMU. She has nearly 30 years of experience in education program assessment and accreditation.
